My Story

You could say, like many dietitians, that I am a foodie. Cooking is one of my favourite hobbies. I love cooking, trying new dishes and experimenting in the kitchen – it is very therapeutic for me. Cooking for others is also one of the ways in which I show other people that I care about them. I think the power that food has in bringing people together is a really beautiful thing and is the main reason I got into this field.

MY PHILOSOPHY:

At The Sweet Beet my philosophy is to create

experiences that lead to good food and good times. I do this by cultivating a positive relationship with food through my various services - individual counselling, workshops, meal plan development and engaging web content.

MY APPROACH:

In adult populations I take a weight-inclusive approach to ensure treatment of the root cause of an individual’s health concerns. In paediatric populations I practice using the Division of Responsibility ™ model to encourage forming positive relationships with food in the next generation. I use evidence-based practice, coupled with staying up to date with the latest trends and movements in nutrition to deliver personalized care. If my approach suits your needs, consider working with me!
